This is offensive to me …

I lost another facebook friend today.  Here is why:
(Hername here)   go cocks!!!

Gotta love our upstate folk…… (THIS was the caption she wrote)

I was born and raised in Easley, SC.  And yes, even that close to Clemson, there are USC fans.  And there is rivalry.  And I know there are Clemson fans that are as classless as this as well.  But I am really tired of my home being insulted.  And I am told “It’s just rivalry!!”  I’ve grown up in this state and I know what rivalry is …  This is not the first photo on facebook to move past going after Clemson athletics and attack the Upstate in general.  And it won’t be the last. My family remains in Pickens County.  In fact, my father, whom I am slowly losing to a horrible disease, is one of my favorite residents of that county.  My mom, whom I love, lives there too!  And my first-born child is a student at … you guessed it … Clemson (after growing up a Gamecock fan).
And, to my friends that might tell me I’m taking this too seriously … I’ve dealt with adults posting sexually explicit stuff about the Clemson/USC game, and a bunch of insults.  And I guess I’m just tired of it this year.  Some of you guys really need to think about things before you post them …
1 John 4:20 If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

I too am tired of the extremes in this rivalry and have befriended several individuals whom have taken it to the extreme. Thank you for your message.
