Ron Barker challenged our deacons and then our entire church this weekend: The church is the ONLY ORGANIZATION he knows of that does NOT exist for its members … We are called to be more of a hospital ship, and NOT a “Love Boat.” But the modern church really has become more of a Love Boat in recent years and our marketing and consumerist attitudes haven’t helped!!
